2010 KOA National Convention/KOA Owners Association Convention News

Many who attended the 2010 Convention in Savanah were concerned with the format of the auction. I admit I also was skeptical about the outcome; however, I assured everyone to be positive and let us see how the numbers turn out. By the end of the night we had a record of approximately $71,000. The night was full of excitement and entertainment. To add to this total, Wally Warrick (the late Peter Warrick's son) of Southeast Publications had presented the Care Camps with a check for $30,000 along with two other checks for a grand total of approximately $31,600 - WOW!!!! Thanks Wally!!! Another great surprise was the contribution from the Disaster Relief Board. Chair Steve Linde announced at the OA Annual Meeting that the proceeds of the 50/50 elimination raffle was to be turned over to Care Camps and they want the auction night to be all Care Camps. A huge thanks to the Disaster Relief Board! Next year will be in exciting Las Vegas...do plan to attend!!
